Hi all,

It’s nearly that time of year again! Each year our junior section descend on Booths supermarket in Longridge to bag pack for Christmas shoppers on Christmas Eve and raise vital funds for their club in the process. We usually start at 10am and run 1.5hr slots till 4pm, needing 8 or more boys and girls for each slot? Ideally with some assistance from parents, senior members, coaches etc to help supervise.

The children wear their Longridge kit, where they have it, to represent the club (with several silly Xmas hats on display!) and generally have a lot of fun. Last year we raised a tremendous £800 on Christmas Eve.

We would love to beat this and boost club funds, so we are asking ALL club members and their families to please support this venture if you can. In particular it would be very helpful if any of our club committee members, captains, senior players, coaches & squad managers could advise if they are available to supervise any of the sessions.

If you can come along for a slot (or two) please let me know by text 07930 355867 or email to douglasjames@blueyonder.co.uk with your time preference and whether you are able to stay and help with supervision. It would be helpful if you could advise if you have a second choice slot in case we have to juggle round to manage full cover or to put groups of pals together.

Available Xmas Eve slots are: 10-11.30am, 11.30-1pm, 1-2.30pm, 2.30-4pm

This year we can also bag pack from 08.30 – 10am so if anyone fancies an early slot please let me know.

Once I have an initial response I will message out with provisional allocations with the aim of getting groups of friends/age groups/teams together where possible. It would be really helpful to have an initial response by 29th November please.
